Big Long Thing #15 for calendar year 2019, and state 31 for the 3rd time through the states done today at the Georgia Marathon. A moderately hilly big city marathon last every single post-secondary school in the Atlanta except Emory University. Some course changes since the last time I did it. Namely they took out the flat part in Decatur. Despite all the sturm und drang about my performance yesterday, today was just fine, 4:17, a 20 minute improvement over the last time I did this race. Sometimes I think my mind just wants to mess with me. Whatever. Anyway, fun facts: The first Coca-Cola bottling franchise was bought by two attorneys in Chattanooga for a dollar each. Speaking of Coca-Cola, whose home base is here in Atlanta, the Coca-Cola can was first invented during World War II, but due to rationing was not rolled out until after fighting ceased. Then in the 1960s it became available in can form to civilians.
