With the stroke of a pen the USDA has eliminated hunger. Yep, check this out. Hunger was on the rise in America, in fact according to the USDA last year 11% or about 33 million Americans were hungry. This year there are no hungry people. Yay! It must have been all those Bush tax cuts that caused all boats to rise, right? Wrong. We just decided to rename it.
That's right. The USDA doesn't like the term hunger. Instead they've opted for the phrase "very low food security" or "food insecure". What a bunch of Orwellian Newspeak nonsense. Let me be the first to call this doubleplusungood.

This chick is food insecure.

These people are just hungry.
I started volunteering for a food bank last year when I heard that the Commodity Supplemental Food Program was being cut. It made me mad and I decided I had to do something. As a result I've seen hungry people and had an opportunity to help them through this organization (subliminal: Donate!). Hunger is unfortunate, and maybe I'm crazy but I don't think it should happen in the richest nation in the history of mankind.
George, you probably didn't personally made the decision, but you're in charge of this organization; As they say the buck stops there. This is not the kind of shit you or your buddies should play politics with. Jesus would not approve. Call you're warrantless wiretapping program the "Terrorist Surveillance Program", call torture "aggressive interrogation techniques", hell, call yourself The Decider for all I care, but lets not trivialize poverty and hunger in America, okay?
