Are you dissatisfied with your current job? Are you in a dead-end job? Do you really like the work, but detest the people/environment you are working with/in? Have you always wanted to be a United States Senator? Now is your chance. Republican Wyoming Senator Craig Thomas passed away at the beginning of June as a result of Leukemia complications. (Aside: My condolences to his family.) As a result, Wyoming's Governor has to choose a successor, and thanks to a weird Wyoming law the GOP gets to name 3 people from whom the Governor may choose one.

Anyway this is where your opportunity comes in. The Wyoming GOP is taking applications to be a United States Senator. That's right, they're not picking these names in a smoke-filled back room. Maybe it's the fact that the entire state has fewer citizens than Washington, DC. Maybe they're hoping to harness the power of the Internet to bring together the wildly diverse state of Wyoming. Who knows, but it's open and accessible to everyone.

So that's why I'm suggesting that everyone go to the Wyoming Republican Party and fill out an application to be the Junior Senator from Wyoming. Not from Wyoming? No problem, you think Hillary was from New York, you can move there by the election day? Not 30 years old? No problem, that's age discrimination you should take it to the Supreme Court. Not a citizen for at least nine years? Well, there's really nothing you can do about that, but apply anyway, waste some of your/their time. But hurry, applications are due by Today at 5pm. :)

Isn't being a U.S. senator a dead-end job?

It is if you are a Republican up for re-election.
