Year-to-date marathon or longer #51, Operation Jack Marathon in Los Angeles, California. A nice cool day, and a mellow two loop bow-tie course with Alicja and Karen along Dockweiler State Beach and the Ballona Creek Bike Path. Nice views of the beach, the mountains, and Marina Del Rey with occasional sand dunes covering the beach walkway. I got some great hang out time with Margaret, Dee Dee, Holly, and Dulce post-race. Fun fact: In the 1880s the land which is now Beverly Hills, one of the more swanky cities in Los Angeles County, was used for farming the lowly lima bean.
