Marathon or longer #174 at the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Marathon in North Carolina. A 2 mile loop around a mall to spread out the field before sending them on a 24 mile out and back on the American Tobacco Trail, a rails-to-trails flat course, before wrapping the final quarter mile in the mall parking lot. This is the second race I’ve run on the American Tobacco Trail here in North Carolina. While I think this race was fine, I do believe Tobacco Road is the superior race in part because you will be arriving during March Madness. As for my performance today, I can’t blame the keto. I just sucked. I give it a C. Next weekend should be interesting. Fun fact: In Chapel Hill, home to the University of North Carolina, America’s first public university, fire engines have been painted Carolina blue since 1996.
