Andy’s birthday marathon, Cade’s 250th, a PR for Kevin, and even me—the Grinch—in a Santa suit for a 5k. It was a full weekend at the Jacksonville Marathon and the Jingle Bell Jog 5k with fellow Frontrunners and Amy. The rain held off at Jacksonville and it was its typical flat suburban course on a cool (for Florida) winter day. It’s my fifth time there, so there’s not much I haven’t said before. Fun fact: Jacksonville is named for Andrew Jackson, future president, first military governor of Florida, and all-around genocidal a-hole. Despite the honor, “Old Hickory” never visited what is now the largest city in the continental United States by area.
